Description
Madder Root Soap is made with an age old natural colorant that has been used to redden lips and cheeks and maintain hair color for centuries. Traces of madder have even been discovered in the tomb of the Pharoah Tutankhamun and in the ruins of Pompeii. In soap, it yields shades of soft pink to a deep mauve and brown. We created an Ombre or layered soap with our Madder root and we love the gradients of color it imparted to the soap. This soap is super soft and buttery and smells like a spiced mahogany forest. You’ll notice hints of amber, cedarwood, cinnamon, vanilla and bergamot. We also added a light pumice to serve as a gentle exfoliate that’s also safe for our plumbing and septic flora.
